The deer’s head is slightly raised, and the fluff on the forehead is cast in every detail. His eyes are half open, and his pupils are staring into the distance but revealing a trance, as if staring at a vain fantasy, or as if falling into lazy reverie.
The antlers on the top of the head stretch to the sky like coral, with twelve branches of varying thickness, and each horn tip retains the hand-polished burrs, as if it has just grown out of the bark.
