About St. Jude:
St. Jude is one of Jesus’ twelve apostles in the New Testament. He is generally identified as Thaddeus. He is sometimes identified as Jude, Jesus’ brother, but is distinctly different from Judas Iscariot, the apostle who betrayed Jesus before his crucifixion. St. Jude attributes are a stick. He is also often seen in icons with flames on his head. This means that he received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost along with the other apostles. Another common feature is Jude holding an image of Jesus Christ, known as the Edessa. In some cases he may be holding a scroll or book (Judas Epistle) or a carpenter’s ruler
