Christophe Charbonnel was born in Nantes in 1967. He has worked in sculpture for 17 years. In 2002, he decided to live on sculpture and quit his job as a cartoonist in the Walt Disney studio in Montreuil, moving with his family in Yvelines. He devoted himself full time to his sculpting practice. Soon he realized that he belonged to the line of sculptors, and his technique was learned in 1995 at Duperré’s school in the studio of Philippe Seeené. His work has since been acquired by many public and private collections, and his exhibitions are increasing. His work expanded into monumental sculpture.
