Togo’s story:
The sudden outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic that swept the world in early 2020 has made another epidemic in the past century somewhat in common with the current situation. Both are facing the effects of a horrific epidemic, with severe shortages of medical facilities and many lives on the line. People are forced to face difficult choices. Togo’s heroic delivery of life-saving blood serum is not only worthy of praise.

In January 1925, 20 sled drivers and 150 sled dogs ran 1085 kilometers in a relay under the raging arctic snowstorm. They were meant to deliver diphtheria serum.
