Like the iconic appearance of the HSBC lions, this black sculpture was cast with a different design by our artists to meet the client’s needs. The client desired a neater appearance for the lion’s chest mane; consequently, we cast the fur with a distinct sense of layering. The chest mane was designed to be more orderly while retaining its textural depth—a feature that accentuates the bronze lion statue‘s three-dimensional presence and lends the overall form a cleaner, more streamlined look, serving as a testament to our artists’ best craftsmanship.
