Review before casting

See the Details in a Full-Size Clay Model

Our specialist clay artists develop a 1:1 model at the agreed statue size. This is where we work on the face, expression, pose, anatomy, clothing and the small details that matter to you.

We share progress photographs and videos, discuss your feedback and refine the model within the agreed design scope. Bronze casting begins only after you confirm the clay model. If you have limited or old photographs, we review them with you first and explain which features may need additional guidance.

Lost-Wax Casting with Care for the Original Detail

Silica-Sol Shell Technology

We use silica-sol technology in the investment shell stage of lost-wax casting to help retain fine surface details, including hair, clothing textures and facial features. Careful wax preparation, casting and hand finishing all contribute to the result.

One-Piece Casting Where Suitable

For suitable life-size designs, we can cast the main statue in one piece, as in our General Chennault project. This reduces the need for assembly seams. Our foundry reviews the pose, dimensions and casting requirements before recommending this route.

Finishing & Patina

After casting, our craftsmen inspect the bronze, refine the surface and complete any required joins. We discuss your preferred patina and share finished photographs or videos for review before packing.

For this 1.83-meter (6-foot) memorial statue, our team studied the subject’s uniform and discussed its distinguishing details with the project team. The project brings together the work that matters in a portrait commission: research, clay modeling, casting and a finished sculpture ready for its setting.

Plan the Quotation and Delivery Together

Your quotation depends on the size, number of figures, portrait detail, complexity, new clay modeling, patina, base requirements and destination. Adapting an existing design is different from creating a new portrait, so we explain the production scope before you commit.

We arrange protective export packing and shipping support. For larger statues, we discuss access, lifting and base connections early, and can provide installation guidance. Local contractors or engineers should confirm the foundation and final site requirements.

Custom Bronze Statue Questions

Can you work from old family photographs?

Yes. Send the photographs you have, along with any video, measurements or descriptions. We assess the available references with you before modeling and discuss details that are not visible.

Can I request changes before casting?

Yes. The clay stage is the main opportunity to review likeness, pose and detail. We discuss changes within the agreed project scope and obtain your confirmation before casting.

How long will my statue take?

The schedule depends on size, detail, modeling and approval time. We provide a project-specific estimate after reviewing your brief. Please share your installation date early; packing, transit and local site preparation need time as well as production.

Can you make just one statue?

Yes. We work on individual private commissions as well as multi-figure memorials and artist-led projects.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We plan packing and shipping around the sculpture and destination. Your quotation should clarify freight, insurance, customs responsibilities and delivery scope.
