A Unified Sanctuary

One sacred space.
One architectural language.

The sanctuary brings together a central altar, an architectural reredos, side statue niches, an ambo, two marble chairs and a matching credence table.

White and warm beige stone establish a quiet foundation, while red marble columns accent the central composition. Repeated arches, moldings and carved details connect each individual piece to the whole.

01 / From Vision to Design

A clear vision,
before the first carving.

The supplied design images show the relationship between the altar, reredos, ambo and seating, from spatial modeling to the proposed material palette.

02 / DESIGN VISUALIZATION

02 / A Relationship Built Over Time

A story that began
with a single pulpit.

2019

The first commission

The client first commissioned a marble pulpit measuring 92 cm long, 92 cm wide and 122 cm high. Its carved front panel, layered moldings and contrasting stone established the beginning of the relationship.

2021

A return to create something more

The client returned to YouFine for a broader collection of marble furnishings, extending the collaboration to the altar, reredos, ambo, chairs and table.

03 / The Marble Collection

Distinct pieces.
A coherent composition.

Workshop photographs document the marblework during production. Dimensions below follow the original project presentation.

The Central Altar

The Last Supper, carved in stone.

Length 3 m / Height 1 m

A white marble relief of The Last Supper forms the focal point, framed by red marble columns. Drapery, curls, hands and facial expressions give the carved scene its sense of life.

Architectural Reredos

Approx. length 6 m / Height 4 m

The central backdrop and adjoining elements establish the sanctuary composition, with a material palette coordinated with the altar.

Sanctuary Chairs

Width 79 cm each / Heights 121 cm & 97 cm

Two backrest heights share the same vocabulary of armrests, arched bases and contrasting decorative moldings.

Custom Marble Ambo

Width 1 m / Height 1.3 m

The design combines a carved architectural exterior with a pull-out storage feature requested by the client.

Matching Credence Table

Length 1.6 m / Height 91 cm

A restrained top, column-like supports and beige moldings continue the proportions and finishes of the wider collection.

07 / Ambo Design

Plan, elevation, section and perspective views bring together the lectern profile and internal arrangement.

08 / Credence Table & Chairs

Coordinated plans and elevations for the marble table and the pair of sanctuary chairs.

Drawing scope: the reredos and side-niche sheets mark shaded areas as outside the marble scope. The full architectural composition shown in the renderings should therefore be read together with these scope boundaries. Dimensions and fabrication details require confirmation against the approved full-resolution drawings.
05 / Considered in Every Detail

Carved with care.
Designed for use.

The project presentation records both sculptural refinement and practical customization, from revisions to the altar relief to the ambo storage design.

01Relief refinement: the carving of the bread-cutting knife was revised several times to meet the client's requirements.
02Practical storage: a pull-out feature was designed to accommodate the client's request for storing sacred objects.
03Visual continuity: white, beige and red stone connect the arches, columns and repeated molding profiles.
