The sand shell of the bronze horse sculpture is made 9mm (5-7 layers thick), and the number of hanging sands has a certain relationship with the size of the sculpture. Big points have to be hung up to ten times to twenty times. Take up a long time. Form a relatively hard casting cavity.

The advantage of this process is that the surface of the artwork is delicate and does not destroy the brushstrokes produced by the sculptor. Basically, the original appearance of the sculpture prototype is maintained. The shortcoming is that the cycle is long and the cost is high.

Some merchants use plaster and other methods to make casting cavities, the cycle is short, but the surface treatment is slightly poor, and common casting defects are easily encountered. Simpler works such as flat relief, large copper coins, and the back of bronze Buddha statues are not too complicated. The smooth surface can be made by “resin sandbox making”.

After the bronze horse sculpture is finished, put it into a high-heat 140-160 ° C oven or a high-pressure steam pot to burn the paraffin in the shell until a hollow cavity is formed. Then, the hollow cavity is placed in a sintering furnace and sintered at 800 ° C – 1000 ° C for use. This way the casting cavity is ready.
